Part of Jean-Claude Mas’s Astelia project, Tannes 122 takes its number from the vineyard plot’s elevation. The range explores the distinctive character of neighbouring Languedoc sites, using individual grape varieties to express their differences.<\/p>\n
The house profile combines blackcurrant and blueberry with suggestions of redcurrant jelly, roasted coffee, pepper and mocha. The palate is broad and powerful, with firm tannic support and chocolate-like depth through the finish. These layered flavours give the wine a substantial presence at the table.<\/p>\n
