Astelia Cabernet Sauvignon Tannes 122 2024 is a full-bodied southern French red with a confident, concentrated style. It offers an appealing expression of Cabernet Sauvignon for those who enjoy dark fruit, structure and a rich finish.

Part of Jean-Claude Mas’s Astelia project, Tannes 122 takes its number from the vineyard plot’s elevation. The range explores the distinctive character of neighbouring Languedoc sites, using individual grape varieties to express their differences.

The house profile combines blackcurrant and blueberry with suggestions of redcurrant jelly, roasted coffee, pepper and mocha. The palate is broad and powerful, with firm tannic support and chocolate-like depth through the finish. These layered flavours give the wine a substantial presence at the table.

We recommend serving at 16-17°C (61-63°F). Pair with grilled beef, braised short ribs, porcini mushrooms or mature cheeses. Allowing the wine some air before serving can help its aromas unfold.
