Bruno dei Vespa Primitivo Salento is an inviting southern Italian red with ripe fruit and a rounded, generous style. It is a satisfying choice for meals featuring rich sauces, grilled meat and the robust flavours of Puglian cuisine.

The wine comes from the Vespa family’s project in Puglia, associated with journalist Bruno Vespa and winemaker Riccardo Cotarella. Primitivo plays an important role in the estate’s identity, connecting the range to the traditions of Salento.

Ripe cherry and sour-cherry notes are accompanied by a gentle floral and spicy impression. The palate is rounded and flavourful, with a smooth texture that makes the fruit especially inviting. A savoury finish gives the wine enough definition to work comfortably with food.

We suggest serving at 16-18°C (61-64°F). Enjoy with meat ragù, lamb, grilled sausages or aged pecorino. A brief swirl in the glass helps release its ripe-fruit aromas.
